Science & Research

Innovative and interdisciplinary

The intensive collaboration of experts from the fields of sports therapy, sports medicine and sports physiotherapy creates synergies that benefit the progress of the alinus method. Under the direction of Franz Leberbauer and Sabine Schäffer, training exercises are designed, empirically tested and optimized as part of comprehensive scientific research work in the specially created alinus Research Center. The development of new exercise plans meets high quality standards: That is why each exercise goes through four development phases, from conception to inclusion in the final exercise catalog to implementation by the client. Through the interdisciplinary cooperation of various experts, findings from different viewpoints are incorporated into the alinus training concept.

Phases of development in the creation of new exercises

Scientific development

Conception of new exercises through a scientific development process

Technical implementation

Implementation of the newly designed exercises in the alinus software

Empirical research

Validation or possible optimization of the exercises through practical testing

Correct combinatorics

Creation of suitable exercise combinations for a specific treatment field

Teamwork

Synergies created via interdisciplinary expertise

In addition to Franz Leberbauer, Sabine Schäffer and a scientific research team consisting of sports therapists, sports scientists and sports physicians are continuously working on the conception of new therapy exercises, training methods or further developing of the alinus method. By using synergies and know-how from various disciplines, the latest studies and research results are always incorporated into the further development of the alinus method.
